The conference is organized by the Department of Early Childhood Education (ECE Dept.) of University of Thessaly located in Volos (Greece).The Department of Early Childhood Education is one of the first of the University of Thessaly, founded in 1984 and is based at the Papastratos Compound in Volos. It belongs to the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Volos

Volos, situated between the Pagasitikos Golf and the Pelion Mountain, is the capital of Magnesia with a population of 120.000 inhabitants. The city is located in an area of an approximately equal distance from the country's two main urban centres, Athens and Thessaloniki, offering a combination of outstanding landscapes for winter and summer tourism. Today the Municipality of Volos aims at preserving and developing new uses for the industrial or historic buildings while the centre of Volos, where many students live, is a thriving commercial area with a strong cultural community.
