Registration Fees

Normal and reduced registration fee includes conference registration, a set of printed conference proceedings, conference material, meals (excluding alcoholic beverages) during the days of the conference (except the free evening), welcome reception dinner, conference dinner and coffee breaks.

Student and day registration fee includes conference registration, a set of printed proceedings, conference material and coffee breaks.

Accompanying person registration fee covers host services and coffees but does not include meals. Specific meals need to be bought separately.

Registration form will be available from 10th June 2016 along with all detailed information about the registration procedure. Depending on the number of participants, the local organizing committee withhold the right to decide upon the availability of extra conference material or/and printed or digital conference proceedings.

Specific excursions and day-tours, especially for accompanying persons, will be paid separately and will be announced at a later stage at the conference website

International Payments: Please instruct your bank that all charges (both in sending from your account and receiving into the conference account) will be for your account.

 

(*) First, eligible participants for reduced registration fee are authors who come from Low Income Countries and have the status of student, part-time or temporarily employed researchers or educators. Relevant confirmation from their institutional administration need to be submitted by emailing the mes secretary (). Second, in addition, authors can apply for financial support in relation to their conference expenses provided that MES9 has excess of funds. They need to submit an application to the MES community by 20th Aug 2016 25 Sept 2016 24:00 GR time 31st December 2016 24:00 GR time Information concerning the application form and procedure of submission is available here. A team of MES scholars will provide criteria and evaluate these applications chaired by David Kollosche () and Yasmine Abtahi ().

(**) This fee applies to undergraduate students (BSc, MSc and similar) and postgraduate students without a salary or grant (not PhD students who have salary or grant). Registrants must provide a copy of their student ID card when registering. Please note that student or day registration excludes entry to the conference reception and conference dinner. Participants who wish to participate in these, must buy conference meals separately (see the registration form).

(***) This fee applies for those who need only ONE day registration.

 

Payment Procedures

Payment will be possible either by credit card or bank transfer (described below, option 1 & 2). All amounts will be payable in Euros (€). Please note that Onsite registration payment will be made in cash only.

Option #1: Bank transfer
Each participant should firstly create an account by registering in the website through the Log in / Sign in section. After creating your account, you will immediately receive an e-mail at your e-mail address. Please follow the instructions in order to activate the account. Authors that already have an account for the paper submission process do not need to create a new account. After that you can Log in through the conference website and proceed to your registration through the on-line registration form (Main Menu -> Registration -> Registration Form).
Apart from the on-line registration form, each participant following option #1, should also send the copy of the bank transfer receipt to the Conference Secretariat by email. Any form received without the payment receipt cannot be processed. Please make sure to use the payment code as a justification for your bank transfer as indicated below.
Please note that all payments must be done in Euros.
Upon receipt of registration form and payment, the Conference Secretariat will send you a written confirmation of your valid participation.

The total sum of payments which appear in the registration form (fees for Registration, accompanying persons, dinner activities) should coincide with the amount of Euros written on the receipt of payment.
Any bank fees charged must be borne by the participant.

Option #2: Credit card
Payments by credit card are also possible through the on-line registration form.

Please note that all credit cards will be charged in Euros.
By submitting the on-line registration form, you will be directed to the on-line payment form where you will be able to complete the on-line registration process.

 

Cancellation Policy

For any cancellations contact Anthi Tsirogianni at

- Until 7th February 2017, the registration fee will be fully refunded.
- From 8th February 2017 until 7th March 2017, the registration fee will be refunded minus an administrative charge of 35€/person.
- From 8th March 2017, the registration fee will not be refunded.
